lyrics

We strive to see our actions justified
To have an imprint left behind
But we waste our breath debating the strength of our side
When the focal point should be
On supporting those in need
And solutions that will bring stability

Rather bicker and berate
Than build a better day
We’re deluded and avoid any consensus we can make
But put all that aside
And forces can align
Create the path, controlling the design we want
And cease to flaunt, not choosing sides, but doing whats right

We are not innocent
We’re far from forgiven
Problems are present tense
Despite your stance, it’s all the same
We’re so caught up in it
Callous and complicit
While the poor and the desperate
Need real relief and not these games

We grow beyond the boundaries that we know
Beyond the biased and shallow
Becoming more than what our alliances show
There is no one free from fault
Everyone must play they’re part
The hardest thing is finding the place to start

Rather bicker and berate
Than build a better day
We’re deluded and avoid creating designs we want
And cease to flaunt, not choosing sides, but doing whats right
